Step-by-step instructions for setting up the Global Pedagogy Institute platform — from first admin creation to onboarding district partners.
Part 1
This step must be completed once on a fresh deployment. The endpoint self-locks after the first admin is created.
This page is only accessible before the first admin account exists. Once an admin is created, Panel 1 self-locks and cannot be used again.
In Panel 1, enter a name, email address, and a strong password. Click "Create Admin Account". This account will have full access to all admin dashboard features.
Store the credentials securely. There is no password reset flow — if lost, a developer must intervene at the database level.
Navigate to /admin and sign in with the credentials you just created. Confirm you can access the Overview, Teachers, Applications, Documents, Compliance, and Contracts pages.
After the first admin is created, the seed endpoint self-locks. Attempting to create another admin via /admin/seed will return an error. Additional admins must be created directly in the database.
Done: You now have a fully functional admin account. Proceed to Part 2 to set up district partner accounts.
Part 2
Repeat this process for each school district you onboard. There is no limit on the number of district accounts.
Go to /admin and sign in with your admin credentials. You must be authenticated before creating district accounts.
Scroll to Panel 2 — "Create District Account". This panel remains active and can be used to create as many district accounts as needed.
Fill in the district name, contact name, contact email, contact phone, address, and a temporary password. The contact email must be unique across all district accounts.
Use a strong temporary password and share it securely with the district contact. Advise them to treat it as permanent — there is no self-service password reset.
A success message will confirm the district account was created. The district can now log in at /district/login using their contact email and the password you set.
Ask the district contact to log in and confirm they can access their dashboard, browse teacher profiles, and view placements.
Done: The district can now log in at /district/login and access their portal.
Part 3
Teachers self-register
Teachers create their own accounts at /login (signup tab) or via the "Apply as a Teacher" links throughout the site. No admin action is needed to create teacher accounts.
Review applications in the admin dashboard
Go to /admin/applications to view all submitted applications. You can filter by status, subject area, and grade level.
Review compliance documents
Go to /admin/compliance to review uploaded credentials, certifications, and visa documents submitted by teachers.
Issue and manage contracts
Go to /admin/contracts to create, send, and countersign employment contracts. Teachers receive and sign contracts through their portal at /portal/teacher/contracts.
District browsing
Once logged in, district partners can browse verified teacher profiles at /district/teachers and manage placements at /district/placements.
Never share admin credentials over email or chat
Use a unique, strong password for each district account
This guide page is not indexed by search engines (noindex)
District passwords cannot be reset via the UI — store them securely
Admin accounts beyond the first must be created at the database level
All contract signatures and document uploads are logged with timestamps
